The fairytale Love Island couple have called it quits as Molly-Mae Hauge and Tommy Fury have split up after five years together.

The reality star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the heartbreaking news with fans, admitting she is 'extremely upset' as she grapples with their break-up. They both met on the hit series in 2019, and share a 'beautiful' young daughter named Bambi. Boxer Tommy proposed last year while the couple were holidaying in Ibiza, but it wasn't meant to be.

Devastated Molly-Mae wrote: "Never in a million years did I ever think I'd have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end."

"I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority."

Fans have shared concerns over the couple's relationship status for some time, and speculation ramped up when the influencer was spotted ditching her engagement ring earlier this year.

But that wasn't the only sign of trouble in paradise. Just days before announcing their abrupt split, Molly-Mae made an emotional confession that hinted at the reality she was facing.

The star broke down as she admitted she was struggling to cope with being a solo parent while Tommy focused on work projects. Taking to YouTube in a candid vlog earlier this month, Molly-Mae told fans: "I, to be honest with you, have been not feeling… like, I mean this week has just been a lot of emotions."

She went on to explain how Tommy is working hard on his audiobook, which is leaving her to pick up a lot of the parenting duties for their daughter Bambi, admitting the week had been the "most intense" of her life.

"He's done it now, and I'm so proud of him, because I know that was a really big deal to him, but I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week," she continued. "Actually I've been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy's just been so busy.

"I feel like we're going through a little bit of a challenging phase," the star revealed. "Not only with Bambi, but also just with me and trying to juggle a lot."

After Molly-Mae's shock statement, Tommy has since broken his silence with his own, writing on Instagram: "I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship. The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority. Please respect our privacy, and our families' privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time."

Molly-Mae was forced to shut down split rumours in May after speculation grew that the couple had gone their separate ways. She had been missing from Tommy's brother Tyson's boxing match as the rest of the family gathered to support him. Later, Molly-Mae confirmed that she had been at her sister's hen do.

Soon after the birth of daughter Bambi, Molly-Mae had broken down in tears in front of fans as she admitted she was "struggling" after becoming a new mum. "I'm trying to be transparent and real about the last two months of my life but I'm also really scared to do that," she said, sitting down in a quiet room to address fans.

"I feel like what I'm saying isn't making sense and I just feel like my brain is jumble and just not my brain anymore. I just don't feel myself," she devastatingly admitted through streams of tears.

The split announcement came just just hours after the star posted about her stunning getaway and had been sharing photos of her room in a lodge on Instagram Stories. She appears to have since deleted the posts.
